Trout
November - March
Rainbow trout fishing on Lake Roosevelt is a winter staple for Eastern Washington anglers. The massive reservoir behind Grand Coulee Dam supports healthy populations of rainbows that feed actively throughout the colder months. Trolling with flashers and worm harnesses or small spoons is the primary technique, and fish in the 14-20 inch range are common. Lake Roosevelt trout trips often double as kokanee trips, giving anglers a shot at two species in a single outing. The scenic canyon landscape and uncrowded winter waters make these trips a great escape.

Winter
November - March
This is the prime window for Lake Roosevelt trout. Fish are actively feeding and respond well to trolled presentations. Water temperatures in the 40s keep fish energized and willing to bite. Combining trout with kokanee makes for a productive day on the water.
